And then on Friday, I got this “care package” and couldn’t wait to get home and check it out. And since then, I’ve been wanting to put it out online, but I HAD to wait til today. (I remember, we were at No Joke in Arlington @ Hyenas & Playdough had brought his son along and when it was Playdough’s time to rock the stage, he brought his son along onto the stage & in the middle of Playdough’s set, little man was nodding off, my girl and I thought that was the funniest thing ever. Well, maybe this is not so new of a record. But, this is a record I record back in November of ‘08 when I went to Cleveland for a weekend and was recording with the boy TreaZon for my mixtape The Breaking Point and this track didn’t make the cut. So, I stumbled upon this record as I was listening to my iTunes like usually and thought I should pass on this record to all of ya. I got my dude Fate L on the beat so shouts to him for that. Back to the Drawing Board is coming soon so watch out for that as it will be having lots of big features on that project. So, in the meantime enjoy this track and pass it on!

The project is entitled Re-Living Thing, basically meaning a remix of their album Living Thing. The entire project is dropping around August 1st, but I wanted to officially leak the “first single” tonight. A remix of the debut single seemed appropriate enough… so here it is… with a group of emcees I call the “Allido All-Stars” lol… Wale, Young Chris, and Rhymefest. We recorded this over a month ago specifically for a ?uestlove tribute party dedicated to The Purple One himself. Other than passing it off to a few DJ friends who vowed to keep it on some secret squirrel, “bet you aint up on THIS!” status, no one has ever heard it. In the wake of the incredible loss we suffered on June 25 however, this joint took on somewhat of a deeper meaning.
We decided to share it with our fans not only as a token of appreciation, but also as a way of paying respect to one of our last living musical geniuses.
Let’s not wait until tragedy strikes before we show love and gratitude to our heroes, people. Give them their flowers while they live.

So earlier today, as I was driving – I decided to call my pal Jabee. Just to check on him and see how he’s doing, cause I’m that kind of friend. If I got your number, I’ll randomly call just to see how you are doing and how life is treating you. Well, when I called Jabee earlier today, around 6pm, Jabee informed me that he was getting a tattoo done. A Michael Jackson tattoo, he actually mentioned it to me on yesterday, but I figured it was gonna be a few days before he got his tattoo. To my surprise, he was getting it done one day later, today! Never the less, above is a picture of Jabee’s Michael Jackson tattoo, yeah just like that – it’s on!
