Pablo Francisco has a new album coming out with Comedy Central, scheduled to drop in June 2009. He will also be in Europe on tour for the next couple of weeks with 23 of his shows already sold out. Trust me, Pablo Francisco is HYSTERICAL, it’s worth the 25 bucks. Check him out while he’s at the Improv in Addison.
Me personally (Mando) am not a HUGE fan of the late night talk shows, I tend to watch Jay Leno when I catch him on or even Conan O’Brien. But I am pretty excited to see how Jimmy Fallon will do as he takes over Jay Leno’s spot on NBC. The nice treat that Jimmy Fallon will be bringing us nightly is The Roots is his house band, yeah The Roots. Pretty damn impressive and pretty damn smart on behalf of The Roots.
Jimmy Fallon late night talk show premieres on Monday – March 2, 2009 on NBC (channel 5 – Dallas, TX). So make sure you tune in….

The terms “Mardi Gras” (mär`dē grä) and “Mardi Gras season”, in English, refer to events of the Carnival celebrations, ending on the day before Ash Wednesday. From the French term “Mardi Gras” (literally “Fat Tuesday”), the term has come to mean the whole period of activity related to those events, beyond just the single day, often called Mardi Gras Day or Fat Tuesday. The season can be designated by the year, as in “Mardi Gras 2009″.
The time period varies from city to city, as some traditions consider Mardi Gras as the Carnival period between Epiphany or Twelfth Night and Ash Wednesday. Others treat the final three-day period as being Mardi Gras. In Mobile, Alabama, Mardi Gras events begin in November, followed by mystic society balls on Thanksgiving, then New Year’s Eve, formerly with parades on New Year’s Day, followed by parades and balls in January & February, celebrating up to midnight before Ash Wednesday.
Other cities most famous for their Mardi Gras celebrations include Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and New Orleans, Louisiana. Many other places have important Mardi Gras celebrations as well.
Carnival is an important celebration in most of Europe, except in Ireland and the United Kingdom where the festival is called “shrovetide” ending on Shrove Tuesday, and pancakes are the tradition, and also in many parts of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Hey everyone,
you may or may not know this by now, but hangar 18 is now defunct. we decided a few months back to put a halt to the hangar. We are all on good terms, we all still see each other all the time. It wasnt on bad terms. we just sort of ran out of creative juice and there was nowhere else to go with hangar. sure we could have kept on and made music that was uninspired and that we werent fully into but we felt that it wasnt fair to you guys or to us.
so here is the update. wind and his fiance have started their own business and they are doing very well.
Paul is still directing and writing commercials, spending time with his wife and daughter.
I have started a new group with my boy kojo call Alaska and Kojo are The Crack Epidemic. We have just finished our first ep called Woke Up This Morning and we are working on a full length album.

I just started making the page so there is only one song up, and a few old pictures. come say hi to us and sign on. i will get some new music up over the next day or two. I will also have some information on new projects and upcoming release info.

This weekend was GOOD.
Friday had a nice gathering with the Dead Stock crew – talked Kixpo. And just know, ah nevermind. You guys aren’t ready, I think we’ll save these ideas for Kixpo 2011. And after that, just kicked it – did some closet cleaning/organizing.
Saturday – did some shopping and went to the Este Es Mi Rumbo show that featured our friends; Carlos Donjuan, Alejandro Diaz, and Emily Donjuan @ the HCG Gallery in Dallas, TX. Just have to say that personally, it was very overwhelming to see people that you know doing big things such as Carlos, Alejandro, Emily have done. And by that I mean – taking it to the level that they have and being in the HCG Gallery. All the artwork was AMAZING and I am REALLY thinking about purchasing that 3-eyed porky pig piece. So just have to say once again, CONGRATULATIONS to Carlos, Alejandro, and Emily. All the hard work has paid off and I hope and wish you guys success.
If you weren’t able to making out to the premier night, you still have a chance to see the artwork up until March 14th.

The after party @ The Quinn Bar was dope & on point. Big ups to Select & Sober who kept it CRUNK (yeah, I gotta use that word) all night. The Quinn Bar was PACKED to capacity, literally – because they weren’t letting people in. Even when Carlos came out and told the door guy that the reason everyone was there was due to us, ha thanks! Never the less, we managed to get in thru the back door (again literally). Had a good time.
