We had the chance to catch up with FEW. clothing and we were able to ask him a couple of questions. Grafwurks: For the people that don’t know any better, can you tell us a little bit about the FEW.?
FEW.: The brand started as a way of expressing ideas & design from my standpoint and the small percent of people who can relate are the few. above common. I would love to sit here and say its just a clothing brand, but the truth is… my plans go much deeper than just clothing line.

Grafwurks: What is your favorite thing to do when you have the free time to do so?
FEW.: I like to chill and hit up the X-box 360, draw or paint, skate down Ocean Drive & flip through vintage magazines and publications.

Grafwurks: What show(s) are must watch for you right now?
FEW.: Entourage is the only current show I have left. I have pulled away from TV since Soprano’s and The 4400 went off the air.

Grafwurks: What can you tell us about Nina Mercedez, besides the fact that she’s from your hometown (Corpus Christi)?
FEW.: She’s an adult film star who doesn’t get a-lot of shine in our city due to her day job. She sells her sex appeal and is an independent woman by doing so, I see her as the Farah Fawcett of today. (who is also from C.C).

Grafwurks: How did you come about to use Nina Mercedez for the homepage of your website?
FEW.: I had done some artwork for a friend of mine a couple years back and used her simply because I knew she was from Corpus, the idea to use her image hit me again while just working on new stuff for the brand. The image I originally came up with didn’t make the cut for anything I would ever do, so I figured I would still use her on my site.

Grafwurks: There was been some “confusion” in between the names; The Chosen Fuckin Few, FEW., and HEKT, who’s who and what’s what?
FEW.: Few. is the brand, the tag on anything I design. www.thechosenfuckingfew.com is the website. I like to play with words & typography by using either “Fucking” or “Chosen” in front of the bold FEW. Hekt is me, the creator of the few. brand. Street name given to me by my friend D.J. was “Hektic” cause I would roll around spraying my first name on shit when I was younger. I saw some other people were jocking the “Hektic” name so I went a step further and cut it to “hekt” myself. The name Hekt stayed with me ever since.

Grafwurks: What do you think about the hip hop scene overall?
FEW.: Everybody got a label, Everybody’s a rapper, but few flow fatal, its fucked up it all started from 2 turn tables.
-Nas sums it all up right there. A-lot people jump in the game already having “labels” but can’t spit some hot shit to save their lives. Its too easy for people now. They hit up a guitar center, buy a little ole Imac computer, get an oxygen 8 keyboard and call themselves “producers”.

I think people need to work on mastering whatever it is they do, put 110% into it and leave all those dreams of money and girls at the door. Do it for the love or fucking get out the way.

Grafwurks: What are your thoughts on the presidential elections going on?
FEW.: I try and stay out politics as much as possible, but the fact that Obama actually has a shot of being president…IS CRAZY YET DOPE! (If it were up to me, I would make MC BREED President to see if he would really paint the white house black)

FEW.: Less is more, be dope without trying & the idea should always weigh as much as the design.

Grafwurks: What can we expect from the FEW.this year, anything you can leak out?
FEW.: New stuff is around the corner… for summer and winter….I can say for sure now its not just another “Tee Shirt Brand.” The Readers of Grafwurks get first view of the FEW. standard airline pillows.
