**LIMBAUGH IS THE PHONY & THE FAKE & IS HAS NO CREDITABILITY**

During the September 26, 2007 broadcast of Rush Limbaugh’s radio show, he used the term “phony soldiers”. A caller said he was a Republican who had served in the military and felt it was time to leave Iraq. The next caller, who also claimed military service, said, “They never talk to real soldiers. They pull these soldiers that come up out of the blue and spout to the media.” Limbaugh responded, “Phony soldiers.” The caller responded, “Phony soldiers. If you talk to any real soldier and they’re proud to serve, they want to be over in Iraq, they understand their sacrifice and they’re willing to sacrifice for the country.” Later in the show Limbaugh discussed Jesse Macbeth with the caller. Jesse Macbeth was in the Army but did not complete basic training, and on June 7, 2007, Macbeth pleaded guilty to one count of making false statements to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and was sentenced to 5 months jail and three years probation. Media Matters noted Limbaugh’s use of the term “phony soldiers” in an article on their website, and their article received substantial press coverage after it was discussed in speeches by Presidential candidates John Edwards and Chris Dodd. Limbaugh later attacked Media Matters, claiming that he had been talking about only Jesse Macbeth when he had made the comment about “phony soldiers”. Media Matters disputed the accuracy of Limbaugh’s claim, noting in a later article that “Limbaugh then purported to air the “entire” segment in question. In fact, the clip he aired omitted a full 1 minute and 35 seconds of discussion that occurred between Limbaugh’s original “phony soldiers” comment and his subsequent reference to MacBeth.”

Even the soldiers and veterans don’t support Bush & the war. We stand behind the troops but not the war.

The Sarah Silverman Program

The Sarah Silverman Program debuts its 2nd season tonight on Comedy Central. This season is going to contain 14 episodes opposed to last season, it only had 6 episodes. Although, the show’s premiere drew impressive ratings, 1.8 million total viewers and 1.3 with the 18-49 demographic, making it “cable’s biggest audience of the night.” The show had the single best debut ratings “for a Comedy Central original since the premiere of the animated series Drawn Together (2.2 million viewers) in 2004.” On February 12, 2007, only eleven days after the show’s premiere, it was announced that Comedy Central had “ordered 14 new episodes for air this fall and next spring.” The network’s reasoning for the early pickup was that, in its first two weeks, “it was the most-watched cable show in primetime among all key demos.” Comedy Central called it “its most successful primetime launch in three years.” So be sure to catch the debut of season two tonight.
