The Shade of Poison Trees is the fifth studio album recorded by the band Dashboard Confessional. The album in its entirety was posted on the band’s MySpace page on September 28, 2007, and it is to be released on October 2, 2007 on Vagrant Records. This album was very much kept a secret, with no news of its development leaking out. The official Vagrant announcement, released on August 16, 2007, stated that The Shade of Poison Trees has been recorded over 10 days in Florida with producer Don Gilmore, who also takes credit for the production of Dashboard Confessional’s previous album, Dusk and Summer. The Shade of Poison Trees is heralded as a return to form, so to speak, breaking away from the electric, full band sound of their previous two albums and returning to the acoustic sound that Carrabba was previously known for. However, the album is unmistakably more mature, as the songs sound similar to their more recent work, yet without the heavily produced style. The album comes a little over a year after the release of Dusk and Summer.

Peanuts is a syndicated daily and Sunday comic strip written and illustrated by Charles M. Schulz, which ran from October 2, 1950, to February 13, 2000 (the day after Schulz’s death). The strip was one of the most popular and influential in the history of the medium, and was “arguably the longest story ever told by one human being,” according to Professor Robert Thompson of Syracuse University. At its peak, Peanuts ran in over 2,600 newspapers, with a readership of 355 million in 75 countries, and was translated into 21 languages. It helped to cement the four-panel gag strip as the standard in the United States. Reprints of the strip are still syndicated and run in many newspapers. In addition, Peanuts achieved considerable success for its television specials, several of which, including A Charlie Brown Christmas and It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown won or were nominated for Emmy Awards. The holiday specials remain quite popular and are currently broadcast on ABC in the United States during the appropriate season.

Well the girls of the hills, surprised Brody in Vegas by showing up to celebrate his birthday day along with Brody’s buddies. Lauren, Audrina, JustinBobby, Lo, & Lo’s friend [don’t remember EVER seeing her] all went to Vegas celebrate. Right from the start, they were all gonna toast & JustinBobby didn’t wait for everyone & took his drink. Brody kind of called him out on it, but no worries. While everyone was out in Vegas, Spencer & Heidi are in L.A. waiting to celebrate their ONE year anniversary. Heidi was supposed to cover/work the Emmy’s red carpet. Heidi & Spencer were going to celebrate their one year anniversary at Antonio’s [really? pick another restaurant]. Heidi not knowing Elodie was quitting that day of the Emmy’s, Heidi asked Elodie to cover for her, due to her going out to celebrate her anniversary with Spencer. And of course Elodie told her she would gladly cover for Heidi and work the red carpet @ the Emmy’s. Heidi & Spencer take off to their anniversary dinner, and not even 30 mins into their dinner, Heidi gets a call asking where was she at? They were needing her help at the red carpet, she stated that Elodie was covering for her and that’s when they broke the news to her, that she quit. So they were needing Heidi to come in like now. So she had to cut their anniversary dinner real short and Spencer just gave her this blank look, as in not believing that she was actually leaving. I was hoping he was going to beat her or at least choke her a little. Well while all that happened back in L.A., back in Vegas; the girls were trying to make JustinBobby smile and have fun. And of course, JustinBobby gave the girls no reaction. Lauren & Brody got along really well out in Vegas, they hugged & kissed. And when Lo told Audrina that JustinBobby doesn’t like them, Audrina threw a drunken fit [I wonder how those are, inside joke], stated she was going to stop seeing him to make the girls happy & stormed out of the room. After all was said and done, Lauren & Brody ended laid up on the bed taking a “nap” and looks like Heidi & Spencer are going to hit some bumps in the roads [again, I hope Spencer beats her a little or at least chokes her, something, I know he’s a little fed-up with her].
